Mission Statement  

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi is a Eucharistically centered faith community whose life is formed by our baptismal committment to Christ, nourished by scripture, supported by membership in the worldwide Roman Catholic communion of believers, and put into practice by our involvement in the world about us.  It is a community with a long and rich history, where all are welcome, trust is present, risks for the Kingdom of God are taken, and where the gifts of everyone are called forth.  Under the protection of La Conquistadora and the patronage of St. Francis of Assisi, we strive to be instruments of peace in all that God knows us to be.
